Curious how wine is made? Do you enjoy Hawk Ridge wines and want to learn about how they are created?

Please join us for a Premier Tasting of a selection of Hawk Ridge wines with our Winemaker, Maureen Macdonald, on Thursday, February 29th, from 6-8pm.

In this ticketed, guided tasting Maureen will explain the fundamentals of winemaking, how to evaluate and taste wines critically, and the stories behind some of her wines. A selection of four wines will be served, along with a paired selection of crackers, cheeses, and jams to complement the flavors of the wines.

Our Winemaker, Maureen, has been crafting the wines at Hawk Ridge since our opening and enjoys sharing her passion and knowledge with our guests. In addition to her role at Hawk Ridge, she is also a technical editor and featured columnist for Winemaker Magazine, a co-author of The Winemaker Guide to Home Winemaking, and was recently featured in the book Drink New England by Carlo DeVito that profiled leaders in the fermentation industry in New England. She has won awards for her contributions to wine education and after spending an evening learning from her, you will understand why. She presents information in a fun, lighthearted, and informative way that makes learning about wine approachable and engaging.
